Great Customer Service Still Exists
Those of us who grew up in a small town, the kind of town where everyone knew everyone else, remember fondly the customer service we experienced at the one grocery store in town, or the one café or gas station.
We were greeted by name, greeted warmly, and sometimes the greeting was accompanied by a “how’s your mother doing, you tell her Bob said hello, now,” or “saw you playing in the game last week; looking good, young man.”
And, the thing is, the people who greeted us, the owners or employees of the grocery store, or café, or gas station, were not just making small talk for the sake of making small talk. They genuinely cared when they asked about our mother, and you can bet they actually did go to the game and they did see us play.
Those memories seem lost, at times, in today’s fast-paced world, where “how ya doing?” is thrown out, many times the speaker not even waiting for the answer, or “you have a nice day” is spoken as the barista or cashier or attendant is turning towards the next customer.
But not at Madres Espresso, and tell you true, we are proud of that. We believe in great customer service at our coffee stands, and we believe our customers appreciate it. It is, after all, the very least we can do for someone willing to make the drive to our coffee shop and pay good money for the coffee they order.
Stop by, give us a chance to get to know you, and you can bet we will remember your name the next time, and not once will we treat you like you don’t matter. That’s just not our way of doing business.
