Madres Espresso: What’s In A Name?

Our name is Madres Espresso . . . but why?

Why did we choose that particular name?  Why not Olympia Espresso or Capitol Coffee or some other name which is related to this great area where we live? That is usually the path most business owners take, naming their business in such a way that it reflects on the particular area and scores higher on Google.

But we chose Madres?

Our owner, Amanda, explains:

“Naming Madres was one of the easiest things I did when I bought the coffee stand. I didn’t second-guess it for a second. My mother passed away five months before I purchased the stand, and the name pays homage to that beautiful woman who meant so much to me.  It is a message of love to my Hispanic heritage and to the woman who was my staunchest support system.

My Madre!”
